Join us Thursday, May 25 for Total Rewards In-Real-Life presented by University of California, Irvine's outstanding Compensation and Benefits Leaders Laura Beesley, Compensation Program Manager and Sara Girgis, Benefits and Retirement Manager. Laura and Sara will share their strategy, hands-on experience, practical insights and wisdom gained in creating, building, delivering and administering a successful Total Rewards program.

Compensation Program Manager for UC Irvine
Laura Beesley is a Compensation Program Manager with 20+ years of experience in Human Resources. For the last 14 years, Laura has specialized in Compensation in multiple industries, including higher education, healthcare, medical devices, real estate, and title insurance. Since 2018, Laura has served on the board of directors for the Orange County Compensation and Benefits Association (OCCABA). In addition to a Bachelor of Sciences degree, Laura became a Certified Compensation Professional in 2019 and SHRM Senior Certified Professional in 2022. Recent areas of interest include incorporating artificial intelligence into Compensation, career pathways, and building comprehensive Excel dashboards. Outside of work, Laura enjoys all things Disney, Broadway, is currently training for her first half marathon.
Sara Girgis
Benefits and Retirement Manager for UC Irvine
Sara Girgis, an accomplished Employee Benefits Manager, currently serves as the Benefits and Retirement Manager at UC Irvine. With over a decade in government administration, Sara excels in benefits administration, recruiting, and employee wellness. Her proactive leadership drives organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction, demonstrated at institutions like the City of Anaheim and San Bernardino County HR. Sara fosters inclusive workplaces, reflected in her proficiency in Arabic and certification as a Domestic Violence Advocate. Holding an MBA in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Management, she combines academic acumen with practical experience to deliver impactful results in human resources and employee benefits management.
