Presenting at this meeting will be:
Lorna Larson is the Senior Director Human Resources for Avid BioServices Inc. Lorna’s experience includes: organizational development, training and development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations and international human resources. In her past roles, Lorna has developed and executed organizational strategies both to start up and turn around organizations across industries including pharmaceutical, medical device, manufacturing financial services and internet commerce. Her track record of building business specific solutions includes experience in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
Her undergraduate degree is from the Business School at California State University at Long Beach, with an emphasis on Human Resources. She holds a Master’s degree in Business from Pepperdine University. She has earned SPHR and CCP designations. She serves as a Corporate Mentor for business students at CSULB and on the Human Resources Management Advisory Committee for the Extension Program at UC Irvine.
Don Bobo is a Partner and leader of Mercer’s Southern California and Nevada Market. He has more than 25 years of consulting and corporate experience across the spectrum of HR services and functions in domestic, regional, and global capacities. His primary areas of focus have been on total rewards, talent management, and HR function strategy and service delivery, with an emphasis on the people-related aspects of business transformations. In addition to his office leadership responsibilities, Don manages a portfolio of large client relationships across Southern California.
Prior to joining Mercer, Don spent fourteen years in HR leadership roles in multinational energy and engineering companies, including as head of human resources and communications for operations in the Americas. He has had a broad array of responsibilities and has led several successful large-scale organizational change initiatives. His experience includes an expatriate assignment in Paris, France where he was in charge of leadership development and succession planning for a global enterprise.
Don has an M.B.A. from Houston Baptist University and a B.S. in Business from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He has also completed leadership development programs at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
